Working Group meets for the fourth time, 13 June, Vienna

On 13 June the Working Group meeting took place in Vienna. Members of the Working Group met with the Advisory Committee to share the interim results and discuss the progress of the Project.

The focus of the meeting was on finalising and discussing the draft templates on the choice of court and choice of applicable law, as well as on evaluating the national reports. These national reports, submitted by eminent experts in the field of family law and private international law from all 28 EU Member States, constitute a crucial port of this project.

The meeting of the Working Group with the Advisory Committee preceded the Public Workshop “Choice of law and choice of court for family related disputes”, which was held on 14 June in Vienna. The aim of the Workshop was to present and discuss interim results of the ongoing Project. Distinguished experts addressed current legal developments at the EU level and provided a critical analysis of the applicable law of divorce and legal separation as well as of property relations, maintenance and pension rights.
